S2Q6. Do you have an object that means a lot to you?

So when my boy was very young he went to a car boot sale with his nan and bought me a pendant. It was only about 10p, but I loved that he thought of me in that moment and wore it around my neck tied with leather for years.
When he went away with school to Llangranog in year 6 for adventure week we were taking the dog for a walk before we picked him up and the leather broke and I lost the pendant. I was devastated and cried as it was so important to me
That was my most treasured item
He bought me a replacement a few years later which I have never taken off since and I will send a picture but the first 10p pendant will always be the most important
I am not sure about this and there is probably other things I have that mean more but I have a plant that I decorated when I was younger that has always been in my room and it was the first thing that came to mind. It is a plant I tried to make look like a person and at this point, the only thing I change is the hat he wears I hope to have to for years to come and will be fuming if I ever lose or break it. It is called party plant.
Only thing I have every really kept hold of was this cat that I had when I was small, was stuffed away for years whilst I grew up and now my little girl Jess takes it to bed with her, and tells me she will look after him for me
When I was a boy playing football and won a few trophies I always remember the 1st one I got, we played in a final down Grangetown Phil Dwyer presented us with a runners-up plaque, we didn’t even win and it was a small insignificant plaque but I always remembered it fondly because it was the 1st, The other things that makes me sentimental, is my mum who had passed away now gave us a couple of decorations years ago, a sort of fake golden Christmas tree that you can stick on the window and lights up and also a material mantle piece scarf, we always put these up Christmas and it reminds me of here.
Another one is a hat I bought for my Mrs on one of our 1st dates I took to Man Utd game and one of the stall sellers had these silly jesters hats which she really liked, I bought for her and she wore it all game I’ll never forget seeing with it in on slightly bobbing her head side to side making the bells jangle still got in our bedroom cupboard
This would have to be a pocket watch given to me by my father.
It has sat in the drawer of mine, my father's and his father's for seventy-five years, it has been well looked after over the years and is still in its original box, no scratches and still working.
So the story goes about seventy-five years ago my great-grandfather was stuck in France after the war, needing to get home he exchanged the watch for his boat fare on the understanding that he would send back the money and the watch. I have no idea what the watch is worth but it was enough to pay for my great-grandfather to get home to his family and then send the money to get the watch back.
My firstborn child had a bit of a rocky start to her life. Her mum and I split up when she was 2. She lived in 11 different homes before the age of 3 and wasn’t being looked after the way she should of been. Her mum wasn’t very well and couldn’t look after her so she was left in my care. Some months later, One day her mum didn’t bring her home after access and blocked contact with me. The police couldn’t do anything as I didn’t have a Residency Order in place. The next day I spent £300 to have 30 minutes with a family court judge to try to set up a case - he gave me less than 48 hours to build a case before a hearing the day following. I didn’t see or speak to my daughter for a week until the court ordered for her to be returned to my care. I then spent 8 months fighting in family court to ensure my daughter remained in my care to provide her with a stable upbringing. I had to represent my self as I couldn’t afford a solicitor and I was earning enough to not be able to receive legal aid - her mother was able to as she didn’t work. Finally, after 8 months of fighting her mum and solicitor in court, I eventually won and was granted the residency order. It was the most stressful worrying time of my life but also my most important achievement - not for myself but for my daughter and ensuring she had a stable upbringing, something I’m extremely proud of. Ive kept all the court documents and the order for 13 years now and my daughters doing Better than I imagined.

When I was twenty-one, many years ago, my parents took me to buy a gold locket. They were all the rage then. We went to the jewellers and saw many heart-shaped ones. Then I saw a second-hand round one with little blue birds on either side. I fell in love with it, nothing would change my mind. The jeweller opened it and a First World War soldier and his wife (or sweetheart) were on either side. I've had many compliments on it and loved it all my life.
When I was young, my mum had a lamp that I loved. I got given it to put in my room and I loved I. I have taken it to every house ive moved into, all through uni and its been with me throughout my whole life. It reminds me of my mum and also everything I have done in my life.
